Shackletons are searching for a motivated and hard-working Class 2 driver to join our growing logistics team.
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading their wagon at our Dewsbury and Morley manufacturing plants.
- Supporting the drivers and warehouse supervisors with loading the other trucks.
- Deliver our goods around the UK and deliver excellent customer service.
- Offload goods, and where required, room place in the delivery point, with packaging removed from the product and taken away.
- Communicate effectively with the customer an hour before delivery and report any issues to the planning and customer care department.
- Maintain our high standards and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that the wagon is safe and in good condition every morning before beginning the journey.
- Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed.
- They will communicate effectively with the Transport Manager regarding vehicle maintenance.
Experience Required
To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license, HGV class 2 license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations. A minimum of 2 years’ experience is required.
The role will require a candidate who is prepared to night out 1-3 nights per week. Heavy lifting is required (equipment is provided).
