HERITAGE OF
SHACKLETONS
Established in 1959, we are more than makers of furniture – we are a family. Today, Shackletons is a family-owned business with a team of over 100 people.
We have been handmaking upholstered furniture for senior living for over 60 years. Many of our talented craftsmen and craftswomen have been with us for over 20 years using the same time-honoured skills and techniques.
THE IMPACT OF
Sustainability
With a focus on sustainability, we are committed to making better choices and reducing our impact on the planet.
From using the finest sustainable timber to re-using and recycling the protective packaging for deliveries. We are committed to sending zero waste to landfill by specifying the exact quantity of fabric required for each upholstered chair or sofa and using the timber off-cuts to heat our factory.
the emphasis on
quality
Each piece of Shackletons furniture is handmade in England. All of our products are made using the highest quality materials.
At our factory in Dewsbury, we handmake our upholstered chairs and sofas. All of our furniture is made to order, using fabrics which are specified by our customers.
Our factory in Leeds focusses on our cabinetry. There we manufacture our range of bedroom furniture, dining tables, occasional furniture and bespoke products.
We needed a company who could supply high quality products along with bespoke cabinetry capabilities. For this reason, we selected Shackletons. The experience of working with them from start to finish was excellent.
